Biblical Finances
& Economics- Starts this Sunday
Our newest adult Sunday school class begins this Sunday, April
20 at 9:00 AM in the computer room. This class will transform
your finances and your life because you will be learning what
the God of the universe says about the important subject of money.
This ten week class is for everyone, young and old, whether you
earn a lot or a little. Class topics include: What God says about
Wealth, Principles of Financial Success, Basic Economics, Debt,
Wise Spending, God’s View of Work, Saving & Investing,
Generating Cash Flow, Giving, and how to teach children about
money. Not only will the class give you practical “how to’s”
regarding your finances, but in it you will discover the profound
impact handling money has on your relationship with God.

in Parables” Series
Jesus was a great storyteller. He had people sitting on the edge
of their seats, waiting for punch lines. He told stories about
people in familiar daily life only to close with provocative applications—to
the delight of some and the dismay of others. These stories challenge
us. Are we really living to the high standard the Kingdom of God
demands? Do we really love our neighbor? Who or what is truly
first in our lives? Are we aware of how precious we are to God?
Questions such as these will be answered beginning today, as we
look at many of the parables of Jesus for the next sixteen weeks.
Together, may the parables of Jesus lift us out of complacency
and lead us into a richer, fuller Christian life, that we might
bring the greatest glory to God in our everyday lives.
Truth Projects
In a recent study, the Barna Research Group revealed a stunning
statistic that continues to reverberate throughout the evangelical
world. Only 9 percent of professing Christians have a biblical
worldview.
Because of this, today's believers live very similarly to non-believers.
A personal sense of significance is rarely experienced, we spend
our money and time on things that fail to satisfy and we begin
to wonder what life's ultimate purpose really is. We are, in short,
losing our bearings as a people and a nation.
To counter this slide within the body of Christ, we are launching
one of the most powerful projects you will ever be a part of---Focus
on the Family's "The Truth Project."
The Truth Project is a DVD-based small group curriculum comprised
of 13 one-hour lessons taught by Dr. Del Tackett. This home study
is the starting point for looking at life from a biblical perspective.
Each lesson discusses in great detail the relevance and importance
of living the Christian worldview in daily life.
We believe this project will bring exponential change within our
church, as we expect that many will be transformed by this curriculum.
