Thursday Prayer
Emphasis Day
On Thursday, October 6th, we will be having our monthly Prayer
Emphasis day. We will also be meeting for a time of prayer and
worship at 6:30 PM. During this time we call upon God for His
mercy, blessing, and guidance for His bride, the Church. We
pray for our pastors, the congregation, our community, our nation,
foreign missions and that His name would be great in San Diego
and among the nations. We ask you to clear your calendar and
come join us simply and profoundly to pray.
Men
of Zion Bible Study
The men of Zion Bible study, which meets on Wednesday nights
in the room above the church cafeteria, is studying scripture
in connection to John Piper's Book called Desiring God. It is
avaliable at the church book table, Amazon.com, Barnes and Nobles
bookstores, and Christian bookstores. This book was written
to focus believers on the glorification of God resulting in
a deeper relationship with Christ.

Salt
& Light Ministry
The Salt and Light Ministry exists to reclaim and preserve our
Christian heritage through involved and responsible citizenship.
We here at Zion have joined with them as we believe it is every
Christian's duty to be informed and involved citizens in matters
pertaining to our country and culture for posterities’
sake. As our country and culture are experiencing moral decay
like never before, it is time for the Church of Christ to rise
up. We alone have the truth necessary to set feet back on the
right path. S&L provides the resources: to be educated,
for informed focused prayer, and to take action on issues that
directly impact our biblically-based values and constitutional
liberties.
