Zion's Vision

At Zion, our passion is to be a biblically functioning church therefore we will base every action we take solely upon the Scriptures. As a biblically functioning body, we see a church that is focused on our God-given mission with Kingdom vision and eternal purpose.

Go therefore...

We see a church that lives to continue the mission of Jesus Christ to seek and save the spiritually lost. Our vision is to become a biblically functioning church so that Christ’s redemptive purposes can be accomplished in this world. We cannot fulfill Christ’s great commission alone as diverse individuals, only as a unified body. Our goal together is to further God’s kingdom in our midst but we also, in obedience to Jesus’ great commission, labor to extend His Kingdom worldwide. Our work is not over when we become a biblically functioning church­—we’re a biblically functioning church so that we can accurately reflect Jesus to the world that they may be saved.

And make disciples...

We see a church full of consistently maturing believers who are wholly committed to their own personal spiritual maturity as well as their family. These mature Christians are grounded in the fundamental doctrines of the faith and have chosen to do all they can to be separate from the sin of the world. As warriors in a spiritual battle, they are selfless in service and attitude, and are marked by a genuine love for Christ and each other. They have taken personal responsibility for spreading the message of the Gospel to those they come in contact with and those around the world, cheerfully and sacrificially giving of their time and resources for the furtherance of the gospel. They realize their total and complete dependence upon God and demonstrate this through daily fervent prayers of faith. They daily study and meditate upon the Bible and practically apply its message to their lives. They are passionate about worshipping God in song and in life, both individually and corporately. They see the importance of the whole body of Christ and therefore value the contribution of each team member. They are committed to biblical fellowship, which includes authentically sharing in each other’s lives, confession of sin, accountability, and shared life experiences. With a tireless work ethic, they are world changers whose hearts beat for the Kingdom of God and His eternal purposes.

Of all nations...

We see a church that is passionate about the planting of churches both at home and abroad. This includes the raising up and training of pastors to be sent out into the world, as well as appropriating money to be sent overseas for the purposes of establishing and supporting churches.
